I feel better now, Mommy! Thanks!
Hi my name is Tiffani, and I'm a 14 year old shepherd mix. Several years ago, I tore the cruciate ligament in one of my knees (the same type of injury that football players are always getting.) I had surgery to fix my knee, but it was also discovered that I also had arthritis in my hips! My Mom took me to Kingsbrook so I could get some relief for my poor knee & hips!

Spike!

I'm Spike, and I live with my big brother. Can you see? I am lucky to have found such a wonderful home. He cares enough to take me to the doctor to make sure I am healthy and that I can't fly around enough to get hurt. The doctor and technician helped me let my family know which perches are most comfortable for my feet and what foods are best to keep me healthy. Did you know that all pet birds benefit from seeing their doctor each year just like you do? I plan to live a long and healthy life because I love my new family. Thanks big brother for taking such great care of me!

Setting a high standard of care for our surgical patients.

"Hi! My name is Guinness. Here I am taking a nice, restful nap just a few minutes after having my endotracheal tube removed after my neuter surgery. Thanks to the well managed anesthesia and great combination of pain medications I have received today, I am feeling pretty good right now. Note that I am resting with my monkey. He has been with me all day (I think he was even at my nose while I was on the surgery table) and his familiar smell has helped me feel more comfortable and less anxious."

Nora & Melissa Walk For The Cure

Hi Everybody! Just a little update on our endeavors to get ready for the 2008 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. The weekend of May 3rd & 4th, Melissa and I will be walking just over 39 miles in two days. We will spend the night in a tent camp and shower in the back of a semi. Participating in the 2007 walk and being in the presence of thousands of strong and vibrant women coming together for a common cause was an experience that will forever remain in my heart and I look forward to doing it again.

Holly
Welcome to our blog. To get this blog started off, we want to tell you about the heart warming story of Holly, a beautiful & gentle dog who touched all of our hearts.
"Holly" was found wandering the streets of Frederick with a broken rear leg. Because no one came forward to claim her, she was scheduled to be euthanized. After seeing what a sweet & kind dog Holly was, Kelly, one of our client service specialists, just couldn't allow that to happen. She stepped in and elicited the help of an anonymous donor and had Holly sent to a surgical specialist to have her badly broken leg repaired. We are so happy to report that Holly is doing very well in her new home! Thanks to Holly's guardian angels, Kelly & a very special client of ours who wishes to remain anonymous.
To Maxwell's Mom (Holly's Anonymous Guardian Angel): Everyone at Kingsbrook Animal Hospital honors your commitment to helping animals and the people who love them. Your generosity gave a dog in need a new lease on life. Thank you!
